Student Access Center
NIACC’s Student Access Center is dedicated to providing equal access to campus programs and services for all students. We work to contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment, which allows students the opportunity to learn and grow. The Student Access Center consists of Disability Services, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS), TRIO Student Support Services (SSS).
We are in partnership with members of our college community to offer programs and support as students integrate into all aspects of campus life. We consult with students, faculty, and staff to support the ongoing development of an accessible college.
Disability Services
We provide support to students with disabilities in reaching academic goals and work to ensure equal access to educational opportunities through support services, reasonable accommodations, and training in the use of assistive technology.
Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS)
We provide expert, individualized services to Iowans with disabilities to achieve their independence through successful employment and economic support, which may include support through college educational experiences.
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)
Student Support Services is a federally funded grant project which helps eligible students stay in college and graduate. The goal of SSS at NIACC is to promote academic and personal success of all participants. The Project offers counseling, tutoring, college survival skills, orientation classes, career exploration, transfer assistance, and cultural awareness.
