Master Promissory Note
The Mastery Promissory Note is a legal document in which you promise to repay your loan(s) and any interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education. The terms and conditions of your loan are explained in the MPN and it must be completed before any loans can be released. Signing your Master Promissory Note can be done at studentaid.gov. Entrance Counseling
Entrance counseling is a process required by all first time loan borrowers. During entrance counseling the student will be educated on how the loan process works, how to manage expenses, what financial resources are available to help students pay for college, and the rights and responsibilities a student has as a borrower. Exit Counseling
Exit counseling is a process required by students to complete anytime they are preparing to leave, drop below half-time, or graduate from NIACC. During exit counseling the student will be educated on how they will manage and pay back their student loans they have taken out. Exit counseling can be completed at studentaid.gov or with a financial aid advisor in the financial aid office.
