Breaking Down Barriers
Breaking Down Barriers is a flexible program aimed at addressing the most common barriers to obtaining training for high demand jobs within Franklin County. Our goal is to remove any potential roadblocks that people may experience when seeking to enter the workforce, especially when seeking employment in high demand fields. Although there are several programs that offer financial assistance, for some, there are still gaps in financing. Breaking Down Barriers will provide the following:
Provide funding for items that financial aid or Last Dollar Scholarships may not cover. This would include, but not limited to books, childcare, transportation cost reimbursements, additional fees beyond tuition. This would be for those pursuing certificate and non-certificate programs that lead to employment in the State Workforce High-Demand Job List.

- Manufacturing
