What We Need from You:
Assesses patients and identifies obvious physical and psychosocial needs. Develops ability to identify common physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Implements a plan of care, through nursing diagnosis upon admission to the preoperative holding area or the operating room suite. Procedures of surgical interventions and surgeon and anesthesia preferences are considered. Provides assistance to other staff nurses in developing plan of care for their patients.
Implement the plan of care based on AORN Standards of Practice, health center policies and procedures, physician preferences and patient/family needs.
Evaluates patient/family responses to the nursing interventions. Conveys assessed needs to pre and postoperative care providers.
Participates in activities, which promote better patient care, nursing development and professional growth.
Demonstrates principles of effective communication skills and promotes positive relationships within the department, with other departments and with health center guests and clients.
Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary health care team to achieve desired patient care outcomes.

The Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for managing nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patient’s health and wellness within their scope of practice. The Clinic Registered Nurse will direct and support nursing/clinical personnel providing patient care within the facility as assigned by the Clinic Director or RN Supervisor.
Starting at $23.49 (ADN) salary increases with experience and certification.
What We Need from You:
Maintains up-to-date knowledge in the area of nursing care as it relates to the ambulatory setting and age specific patient populations.
Coordinates daily clinic operations as they pertain to patient care. Ensures patient care by meeting patient care needs and assisting with patient concerns.
Assists with recruitment, interviewing, evaluation, training, and serves as preceptor/mentor of clinical personnel.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing.
Current R.N. licensure in the State of Iowa.
ACLS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
Maintains certification in BLS/CPR.

What We Need from You:
MLT: Associate degree in science required. Board of Registry MLT(ASCP) certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Membership and active participation in professional organization desirable. Previous experience is preferred. Must demonstrate competence in BLS within 6 months in position by obtaining certification.
MLS: Bachelor’s degree in science required. Board of Registry MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Membership and active participation in professional organization desirable. Previous experience is preferred.
