ALEKS
ALEKS allows users to test up to five times therefore does not have practice tests available online.  With the ALEKS test, students have Prep and Learning Module work that allows you to study between retests.  It is recommended that you take the initial ALEKS assessment to discover your baseline knowledge and then utilize the Prep and Learning Modules based on your results.  Results of previous students have found that working on the Prep and Learning Modules increases your math scores and enables you to enroll in a higher level math.

Writing Placement Assessment
There is not prep work for the writing placement assessment.  Your essay is read and scored by NIACC writing faculty and will determine which writing/composition course(s) you can enroll in.
