North Iowa Eye Clinic and First State Bank of Belmond proudly presents Diamond Rio Holiday & Hits at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20th, 2018. This presentation is part of the 2018-2019 Performing Arts and Leadership Series.
Formed in 1989 in Nashville, TN, the band consists of Gene Johnson, Jimmy Olander, Brian Prout, Marty Roe, Dan Truman, and Dana Williams.
Diamond Rio became the first country music group in history to reach No. 1 with a debut single with the release of “Meet in the Middle.” The band is also known for their hits “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” “Unbelievable,” “In A Week Or Two,” and more. They’ve sold more than 10 million albums, won a Grammy® Award, a Dove Award, six Vocal Group of the Year wins (CMA and ACM), and achieved 22 top 10 singles, three certified Platinum and five gold albums – with zero band member changes.
The band’s first ever Christmas album, A Diamond Rio Christmas: The Star Still Shines is the band’s first-ever Christmas album and showcases timeless holiday songs, including “Winter Wonderland,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and other holiday favorites.
Diamond Rio recently released I Made It, their tenth studio album. The band is known for playing every note on every album and recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They are long-time spokespersons for Big Brothers Big Sisters and have raised over one million dollars for non-profit organizations and have received the Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award.
