Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing, Text Analytics – these technologies are changing the face of every industry as we know it. Three of Iowa’s experts will share their knowledge and explore the possibilities and realities of how AI is shaping our future at the Artificial Intelligence TechTalk on November 14, 2018.

This free seminar will be held from11:30am-1:00pm at the North Iowa Regional Commerce Center in Mason City, Iowa. Each speaker will give a 15 minute talk on an aspect of artificial intelligence, followed by a Q&A panel.

Three of Iowa’s Artificial Intelligence experts will speaking and participating in a roundtable Q&A:

• Drew Zhang, Associate Professor of Information Systems at Iowa State University
  • A Brief Introduction to Artificial Intelligence – Dr. Drew will emphasize language technologies and review several of the research projects in his group at Iowa State University
• Jason Toyne, Chief Technology Officer at Kingland Systems Corp.
  • How Kingland is using specific Artificial Intelligence called Text Analytics to teach computers to read and extract meaningful content from unstructured data sources
• Kristi Thiel, Co-Founder and VP for Business Development at Immortagen
  • How Immortagen uses big data and AI for personalized cancer diagnosis and treatment
