Jodie (May) Ferch ‘93 and Mary (Kruggel) Holmes ‘77 have joined the North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Alumni Advisory Board.

Jodie (May) Ferch of Austin, Minnesota, graduated from NIACC with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1993. Ferch is a Registered Nurse with Mayo Clinic’s St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minnesota and previously worked for Doctor’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas, MercyOne in Mason City, Federal Bureau of Prisons Medical Center in Rochester, and New Horizons HHC. Ferch volunteers with her church serving as children’s church teacher and works with the elderly in a nursing home.

Mary (Kruggel) Holmes of Mason City, graduated from NIACC in 1977 with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. Holmes is a Marketing Consultant with Coloff Media in Mason City. Holmes is a board member of Visit Mason City, a Mason City Chamber of Commerce Ambassador as well member of the Ag Committee, and a volunteer for Mainstreet Mason City.

Other members of the NIACC Alumni Advisory Board are President Brittney Sanchez ‘12, Lincoln Boehmer ‘16, Tony Coloff ‘62, Tanya Dadisman ’99, Amy Fleming ‘96, Kevin Hennessy ’09, Ruth Miller ’72, Louisa Montealvo ’10, Chad Nelson ’97, and Mary Jo Vrba ’96.

Part of the NIACC Foundation, the NIACC Alumni Advisory Board has been in existence since the formation of the NIACC Alumni Association in 1991.  The Alumni Association supports the annual Pathways to Success program, student scholarships, the Intouch newsletter, and other alumni activities.
