The Historic Park Inn Proudly Presents The Purple Xperience starring Marshall Charloff
The Historic Park Inn proudly presents The Purple Xperience, at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 15th, 2017. This presentation is part of the 2017-2018 Performing Arts and Leadership Series for the 20th Anniversary Season.
The iconic songs, sounds, and styles of Prince and The Revelation will burst through the NIACC auditorium with the performance from the #1 tribute band in the world. The Purple Xperience is a true tribute to Prince: true to the original, hailing from Minneapolis, MN and created by Matt Fink (of the Revolution) who hand-picked Marshall Charloff for the lead role. They have been touring around the country since 2011, bringing memories of Prince and The Revolution to audiences of all generations.
The Purple Xperience embodies the spirit and sounds of Prince, with front-man Marshall Charloff channeling the vocals ad movements from the icon himself. Relive the icon, the music and the passion with the Xperience.
Marshall Charloff, front man for The Purple Xperience, imaginatively styles the magic of Prince’s talent in an uncannily unmatched fashion with his appearance, vocal imitation, and multi instrumental capacity on guitar and piano. Marshall taught himself how to play the guitar at the age of 15 and later taught himself the piano, bass, and drums. He is a celebrated producer and recording artist, skills that helped pave the way for Marshmallow Fields, a 1990s production team consisting of Marshall, Grammy winner John Fields (The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Switchfoot), and Steven “Funkytown” Greenberg. Their single charted on the Billboard Top 100 dance charts and is still in rotation amongst DJs around the country. In 2009, Marshall teamed up with Doctor Fink from Prince and the Revolution and Pepe Willie from the band 94 East to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame benefit concert, which led to the creation of The Purple Xperience.
Cory Eischen sits in as keyboardist for The Purple Xperience. Cory is a world renowned “Princeologist” as collector and archiver of Prince audio & video recordings. Cory has played alongside of his good friend “Dr. Fink” (The Revolution), Phil Solem (The Rembrandts), Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum), members from the Prince protégé group, Mazarati as well as Prince’s very own, New Power Generation (NPG). Rounding out the stars, on guitar is Tracey Blake, who also played with Prince’s New Power Generation and continues to mesmerize audiences everywhere.
