Job Responsibilities:
- Receives day-to-day guidance and assignments from the Stationary Engineer – Assistant Chief at the Ludeman Developmental Center.
- Prepares interior or exterior walls, metal surfaces, floors, ceiling, and equipment for painting, applies plaster, joint compound or spackling for the repair, construction, filling of holes or patching of walls and removed soiled, old, or excess paint.
- Refinishes bookcases, cabinets, metal cabinets. Repairs, reglazes, and places glass in windows and doors, paints furniture and maintains painting supplies.
- Works from heights on ladders, scaffolds, and platforms, stands for long periods of time and lifts heavy equipment, materials, structures, and furniture weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Inspects work sites to determine amount and type of materials needed for painting projects.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
• Requires successful completion of a recognized painter apprenticeship program and two (2) years of full-time journey level painter experience or six (6) years of full-time journey level painter experience.
• Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
• Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties.

Pay Range: $107,628 – $119,936 per year
