North Iowa Concert Band Fall Concert
North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) invites the community to experience an evening of music at the North Iowa Concert Band’s annual fall concert, Sound of Emotion. This free event will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the NIACC Auditorium.
Under the direction of Derrick Snead, NIACC’s new Director of Bands, the program will feature a dynamic selection of works by celebrated composers, each exploring unique aspects of emotional expression through music. The concert will showcase pieces by renowned composers James Curnow, Chandler Wilson, Randall D. Standridge, Karl King, Katahj Copley, and Darren W. Jenkins. Audiences can look forward to a powerful repertoire that promises to move, inspire, and engage listeners of all ages.
Members of the North Iowa Concert Band represent communities from Iowa and southern Minnesota, including the towns of Charles City, Clear Lake, Dougherty, Forest City, Garner, Greene, Hampton, Manly, Marble Rock, Mason City, Nora Springs, Osage, Rockford, Ventura, Waverly, and Austin, MN.
