Welcome to the NIACC EmpowHER Trades Camp – where we empower young women to build their futures! This unique and exciting 3-day, 2-night camp is designed specifically for high school-aged girls who are eager to explore the world of construction and trades. Hosted at the North Iowa Area Community College, this immersive experience promises a hands-on journey into the diverse and dynamic field of construction.

Camp Highlights

Empowering Education: Engage in a transformative learning experience with our skilled Building Trades instructor, who will guide campers through various facets of construction.  Participants will gain practical insights into the wide spectrum of trades that shape the built environment.

Hands-On Workshops: Get ready to roll up your sleeves! Campers will actively participate in hands-on workshops, allowing them to apply their newfound knowledge in a supportive  and encouraging environment. 

NIACC Housing Experience: Immerse yourself in the college experience by staying overnight in our NIACC Housing. This adds an extra layer of camaraderie as campers bond over  shared experiences and develop lasting friendships. It’s not just a camp; it’s a mini-community where empowerment and learning thrive.
