Lifelong Learning Institute kick-off events announced
Folding Crane Expedition, Egyptian Mythology, Normandy, and John Wayne —these are just a handful of classes offered through the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), a division of NIACC’s Continuing Education DiscoverU that focuses on enriching the lives of North Iowans.
The Lifelong Learning Institute is a membership organization comprised of a community of adults who simply learn for the joy of learning.
For a full membership to all the classes offered, the fee is $59 per semester which allows lifelong learners a list of amazing benefits including passes to the NIACC Rec Center, to NIACC athletic events, use of the campus library, performing arts previews, and a full semester of classes designed with the adult learner in mind—and even more!
For a Forest City or Charles City membership, the fee is $25 per semester. This limited membership will allow you access to the classes in those locations.
“I enjoy the opportunities to learn things I couldn’t fit into my formal education and work schedule.” -Melody McMillan. “I like meeting new people and taking classes of interest. As it says, we are never done learning!” – Warren Torkelson
This year, Dyan Childress, LLI Coordinator, said, “We are excited to start the next season of learning. Please join us at the kick-off coffee at any of our open houses.”
