Evil Woman – The American ELO
North Iowa Eye Clinic P.C. proudly presents Evil Woman: The American ELO at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023. This presentation is part of the 2022-2023 Performing Arts and Leadership Series.
Evil Woman: The American “Electric Light Orchestra Experience” is widely recognized as the world’s premier tribute to ELO due to their brilliant arrangements, flawless musicianship, and superlative vocals. Picking up where the Beatles left off in 1970, the UK-based ELO expanded the concept of great melodies, epic song structures, and grand orchestrations where cellos coexisted with guitars, and where classically tinged progressive rock intersected with hook-filled, radio-friendly pop songs resulting in ELO becoming one of the most popular groups of the 1970s and perhaps even more so today. Audiences are left spellbound by the flawless musicianship and vocals of Evil Woman’s 12 musicians. A multi-media concert celebration of the music of ELO, you’ll hear instantly recognizable chart-topping hit songs like Mr. Blue Sky, Roll Over Beethoven, Evil Woman, Telephone Line, Xanadu, Livin’ Thing, Don’t Bring Me Down, and many others.
Its 12-member ensemble includes Kevin Fafard (lead vocals, guitars), Nigel Holland (musical director, keyboards, vocals), Rebecca Catalano (vocals), Robert Smith (keyboards, vocals), Jimmy Wiseman (bass, vocals), Leon E. Alexander Jr. (drums), Ron Halsey (guitars, vocals), Michael Mosgrove (guitar), Stephen O’Leary (string arrangements), Nancy Crockford (orchestra leader, violinist), Anne Parrett Vita (cello), and Casey Copeland (violin).
