Who Hijacked My Fairytale?
The NIACC Performing Arts and Leadership Series proudly presents Who Hijacked My Fairytale? at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25th, 2022. This presentation is part of the 2021-2022 Performing Arts and Leadership Series.
Step into the magical, heartwarming, incredibly funny journey of a wayward southern belle who went from being a shy child who tried to be invisible, to a tacky woman who just won’t shut up. From muffin tops to age spots, no topic is off limits as Kelly laughs about being a woman in today’s world.
This story starts and ends on the other side of the fairy tale – the place the books and movies never showed you. To the land of muffin tops and turkey necks, ungrateful children, and fairy dust that turned out to be just dust.
Kelly Swanson is an award-winning storyteller, comedian, motivational speaker, Huffington Post contributor, and cast member of The Fashion Hero television show airing on Amazon Prime. She is also the author of Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale, The Land of If Only, The Story Formula, and The Gutsy Girls Pocket Guide to Public Speaking. She was a featured entertainer for Holland America Cruise Lines, keynote speaker for the International Toastmasters Convention, and has keynoted major conferences and corporate events from coast to coast. Kelly’s wacky wit and powerful stories have charmed hearts and tickled funny bones for over 15 years.
The true magic of Who Hijacked My Fairytale? isn’t just the comedy and the stories. It’s a show that’s also about you, and realizing that it’s not too late to find your own happier ever after. Underneath the humor is a lot of heart and a powerful message about embracing what makes you unique. You walk out of the show feeling refreshed and empowered, with a message that will last much longer than the laughs.
Grab your friends for a colossal girls night out. You’ll be glad you did!
