New Member Joins RSVP Advisory Council
Carol Peterson of Garner has joined the Advisory Council of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of North Central Iowa. This fall Carol will be retiring as the NIACC Community Education Program Manager based in Garner and was formerly the County Extension Director for Winnebago County.
The council provides feedback to RSVP staff in order to help shape the experience and meet the needs of individuals participating in RSVP’s volunteer opportunities. Its primary purpose is to assist with program development and assessment. Members study matters related to RSVP, make suggestions concerning the functions of the program, and provide support to the program as it serves volunteers, partner agencies and communities in its four-county service area.
Bob Perry of Northwood will serve as the chair for the RSVP Advisory Council and Dean Swenson of Buffalo Center will serve as the vice-chair for the 2017-2018 program year.
RSVP of North Central Iowa is sponsored by North Iowa Area Community College and meets quarterly on the NIACC campus. Molly Anderegg has served as the director for seven years.
